BIOS indicates 2 card slots. I have followed all the HP instructions for increasing the RAM to 4GB by buying an identical 2GB RAM card (max is stated as 4GB). Sorry for the inconvenience caused, I understand that the RAM installed in the RAM slot 2 is not recognized. You may check if the RAM is recognized in the BIOS. If the RAM is not showing in the BIOS as well, this issue might be hardware related since the RAM slot 2 is not recognizing any of the two 2GB RAM.
